A CAT 7495 shovel, repositioning back towards the face, swung its empty dipper in a clockwise direction. A rock dislodged from the dipper teeth and was projected into the back of a CAT D10 dozer, which at the time was positioned beyond the boom point. The rock landed on the rear window walkway of the dozer shattering the window glass and then rolled into the operator’s cabin.
