A South Canterbury company NZ) who owned a lime quarry where a worker died has been convicted on a workplace safety charge after changing its plea from not guilty to guilty. They entered a guilty plea on a charge of failing to take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of its employees. The company had previously entered a not guilty plea.
