The Fair Work Commission have amended a number of modern awards by introducing additional provisions to the relevant annual leave clause.

Model terms have been inserted into the awards and relate to cashing out annual leave, leave in advance, EFT and annual leave payments, and excessive leave.

What has changed for your award?

The award you subscribe to has had the following clauses inserted:

  • Cashing out of annual leave
  • Annual leave in advance
  • Electronic funds transfer (EFT) payment of annual leave

The full clauses and affected awards can be viewed here and will be inserted into the award by the Fair Work Commission. The full determination released by the Fair Work Commission can be found here.

These changes take effect from the start of the first full pay period on or after 29 July 2016.
