A reminder that CMPA is holding a Workshop on “Community Engagement”.
The purpose of the workshop is to provide participants with appropriate management practices required for community engagement as required under the MRSDA Act (1990). The Act states that the work authority holders have a duty to consult with the community throughout the period of the extractive industry work authority and a Community Engagement Plan is required for the work plan.
The workshop will assist participants in establishing and maintaining a Work Plan which defines operational activity so as to obtain and sustain an Extractive Industry Work Authority.
